Often overlooked beneath our feet, tiles can carry an extraordinary visual language: repeating geometries, floral ornaments, worn colours, unexpected combinations, and traces of the places and people that have walked across them. From old patterned ceramics to simple stone and contemporary designs, floors can become compositions in their own right.
