This week I begin a new series entitled Stitched Textiles, inspired by the visual language of textiles. The images explore the appearance of patchwork, embroidery, quilting and hand stitching, combining these references with contemporary digital image-making.
Rather than reproducing traditional textile techniques, the series imagines a world where fabric, thread, texture and colour merge into a distinctive visual language. Some works suggest familiar subjects, while others move towards abstraction, always guided by rhythm, composition and materiality.
